HDMI cable needed!

Didn't realise the 40gb PS3 I just bought didnt come with a HDMI cable! Doh... Where can I get one right now, and cheap??? I'd like either a 1m cable or a 15m cable... Prices for both would help!

Currys/comet/dixons should see you right, it will be available cheaper elsewhere but not quicker at this time of night.

You can probably buy them from tescos and sainsburys these days!

A 1m cable should be about £10 from the high street, however a 15m cable will probably cost you about £75+ and it's not worth skimping on that, especially if you have a 1080p TV.

While cheap cables are no problems over short distances as soon as you get near 10m you'll start to run into problems with a cheap cable. Also the higher the resolution you use, the more bandwidth is required and the more likely the image won't be "complete" at the other end.

I did quite a bit of reading around before buying mine, and essentially all HDMi cables have to meet minimum requirements in order to sport the 'HDMi' name tag, so yes, any cable will provide the same performance. Save your money and buy a pikey one

By all means buy a pikey cable if it's only 1-5 meters but if you are after a 15 meter cable a pikey one will be shite, from what i've read. Just because it's digital doesn't mean the signal can go on forever.

It has no built-in-error correction so the signal can be corrupted, as another poster said, this won't be an issue until you have 15m of cheap cable.
