i've got Forza 2, which i like. but i am getting bored of it now.

i've had PGR4, but i traded it in a week later because arcade racing is boring.

Same for TDU, and i have no plans to get burnout of Need for speed or sega rally.

but what i do want is another really good simulation car game, does anybody know what might be out next year or what i might have overlooked thats already out?

Do you think we'll see another incarnation of Forza on the 360 Platform?

I don't know about you guy's but if there's gonna be more racing games coming out i hope they make the damage more realistic, it can be done. Forza is excellent and the damage engine is pretty good but sometimes i just think it could be better,if you hit the tyre wall why can't the tyres move or get displaced and if you decide to run the game on full damage that's exactly what should happen if you hit something hard enough as in real time motorsport the wheel gets ripped off or the car goes into a barrel roll usually that's game over.Maybe i'm asking for too much it would be excellent if game designers could use some of the tecnolgy used in games like burnout ok that's more of an arcade game but can you see my drift?

Talking of drift need for speed pro street is supposed to have an amazing damage engine but i've not played that yet to commentsmile

the NFS engine is meant to be damn good. slight knocks denting the body can make drag, slowing or pulling the car in different directions.

Whatever games that come out, I hope the Live experience is worthwhile...PGR4s is too slow to matchmake and when you get into the game it's full of twits who ram you for fun. frown

I suppose Codemasters would use the same damage gubbins in Racedriver as in Dirt, I think Dirt has the best damage of anything I have seen.

TDU2
Maybe GTR if they ever sort out the legalities.

TDU2 could be very interesting. The hardcore physics mode came out too late for me to really get stuck in. If the next one ships with it and they sort out the way the roads change angle, I'd be all over it.

I think it was NFS they tested on Gamer TV the other day, they smashed up a Focus ST so it was in a right mess, and then put it up against a Focus with no damage, drove the 2 off at the same time and there was no difference at all frown

Damage does need to be limited to keep game play, not to mention you have no chance of getting all those car maufactures to agree to 'rolling' their cars, its amazing they agree to damage at all.

IMO Forza is as hard core as the consule market will allow re investment against return, Forza 3 will be the next best racing game, and i hope it might make it on the 360?

2, maybe 3. changing gears and deploying the parachute, with "random damage simulator" where you cars blows up.

2008 is looking promising then. i think i am gonna buy NFS this week just to keep me entertained for a while longer.

Plenty about in the states both NHRA and IHRA, maybe import or get one on pc.

Youd be surprised how hard these can be as they tend to be tunning based more than anything. very good online communities for them as well, even the odd pro driver is known to turn up for a bit of fun.

wavey Hodgy.

I had an NHRA one on the PC and was quite good, but obviously being a bit old, the graphics weren't up to much and the controls were not sensitive enough and way too sensitive all at the same time.

Plus they only have the fuel classes. I want doorslammers!!
