After searching the web, even looking outside the UK, all without success, I've managedto find a small gamew shop in town and have bought a DS, the Brain Tranining game and a starter pack (case, headphones, stylus, screen protectos) for £139, plus big brain academy for £20

Won't tell you what my brain age is though - eek !!!!!!!

Have just got off phone to friend who's ordered one through choices uk this week. Although their website now says out of stock.

I think the best bet is to search the independent stores of your looking for a console.

Thankfully I bought our ones back in the Summer, and have managed to get my brain age down to the mid twenties smile

went into my local game shop about 15 mins after my grandmother asked me to buy one for her to give to my grandfather. back 10 days to 2 weeks ago. went in, had a choice of 2 black, 3 white and a limited ed and so walked out with the black one. did not have to go finding one.

Seems much like the Wii my mums got . never had a problem buying them. I picked that up a day before it was out without a problem.

But now she's thinking of putting it on e-bay due to some daft people Haaving to have one before christmasbanghead and pay way over the odd's

My misses bought a pink one a few weeks ago and has spent many hours engrossed in the complexities of setting up a virtual zoo......unfortunately the dog just got hold of it, he's only gone and chewed the right shoulder button off the bloody thingfurious

He's not the most popular puppy at them mohehe

Not any argos store within 30 miles of me. They have "in stock for in store collection" plastered all over their website, yet when you actually check the stock levels for local stores they have precisely none.

Also had friends in Bath and Basingstoke do the same checks with the same outcome.

I just found that argos have a text alert service.

You text the catalog number along with your local stores ID code and it checks the stock, messages you, you then reply YES and it texts you as soon as they get stock. You then reply to that text saying RESERVE and it holds one for you for 24 hrs.
