GameBoy Colour

Bit behind the times but been given one of these to fiddle with.

Screen is dark unless you're under a light inside the house so I was wondering if it's meant to be like that or if the backlight is bust?

Anyone remember?

Sad to omit to it but I’ve got a launch Game boy from Japan (grandfather worked overseas for a long time when i was little), the latter Game boy with Perspex plastic, then had a colour screen version I don’t why just seemed to love it.... i loved the offical asessories and game cartridges.... but then again i was about 10 or 12 or maybe 14 (lol) when I finally put down the first pokemon series.

Its a shame really loved that style of gameplay such as the first Zelda which was immense especially with the map/room cheat which got you into some very weird places on the map and made you play untill you knew the map back to front.

Zelda games are great. Had them on my original GameBoy years ago... and currently enjoyig the latest one on the DS Lite on the train home in the evenings.
