Not much info I'm affraid but a few changes coming...

News website says;

A post made by Infinity Ward on the Xbox.com forums has yielded plentiful information about impending changes to the enormously popular first-person shooter Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare. The changes, which don't have a release date set, will only affect multiplayer. Some of the changes will come in the form of a patch, while others will be modifications to the playlists.

Infinity Ward is keen to point out that the changes being made 'are thanks to YOUR direct feedback and suggestions'.

A lot of the updates concern playlists, which they're changing in order to refine the multiplayer experience, and are made based on statistical analysis and feedback from players. The changes predominantly concern new maps being added to different gametypes, as well as changes to score limits, modifications to the parameters of old school mode, and many more.

The patch will affect spectator mode (ability added to switch between first- and third-person view; 360 degree views of the the player you're viewing), hosting of matches (host quitting won't have such a drastic effect on players; higher bandwidth enforced for 18-player games), the Kill Cam (which has been added to all explosives), the number of spawn points on all maps (increased significantly) and the accuracy of the sniper rifle and ACOG scope. It'll also implement a few bug fixes.

Whether or not similar changes will be made to the PlayStation 3 and PC versions of the game is unknown at this stage.

I read some where that they are going to fix the "host ended game" problems too by using a similar system to halo3, that is, a new host will be selected.

Yeah the host ended game issue is the main problem, really annoying having to find a new host just because the host decides to quit, it should just migrate to the next best connection.

I think the patch is due soon, last I heard it was with M$ for certification or something?!
