I have a small collection of video games consoles from years gone by. I don't have a GC so will have a nose at these. I would dearly like one of the licence built Panasonic GC's though yum

Pretty much every games console has it's failings but they also all have at least one redeeming feature. Agreed. The GC isn't the most powerful of consoles but they have a wide range of games (especially on import) and they weren't very expensive to buy.

I've had one for a fair few years - Resident Evil 4, the latest Zelda, Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros Melee keep drunk people entertained for HOURS!
Worth looking one up...

Or get a Wii and be able to entertain drunk people for even longer. Wii sports plus all the cheap preowned GC games.
