Anyone familiar with it?

Just got the wireless adaptor and upon testing the connection it keeps failing the IP Address section rage

Any Help Appreciated!

it should be a simple case of inputting your network name and password

check your wireless adaptor is connected properly, and try changing wireless channel at your router - have you got a laptop you can use to check the signal strength?

Finaly got it, It was only a simple case of the wrong WEP key hehe

But now another problem has come up... Is there any way I can boost the signal strength of my wireless signal from the transmitter as it keeps diconnecting me from XBL

Im beginning to lose faith in Xbox and all it stands for at the moment...rolleyes

Wireless is evil, as soon as you use a microwave or cordless phone you can be instantly booted off the network.

I suggest moving your router, in some cases even a few inches can make a difference. Is there any way to see the signal-strength ?

With the laptop only a couple of meters away from where the console sits, it is measuring 36% Signal Strength.

I've givin up for tonight however, This preserves the bloody thing from going through the window!

Have to agree with scorp i had nothing but hassle with the wireless set up so opted for the cable connection at least i get a full signal and don't get booted out if the phone or the mirowave is being used, the only down side is i can't leave it connected to the router as i have to feed it down from the top floor [3 storey house]the middle into the lounge where the xbox is connected to the main tv with is also another pain BUT that's another story, anyway it only tale 30sec's to set up the only hassle is the ear ache from the missus!
