I remember that too, there was one track where I used to gain a couple of places by taking a shortcut up the pit lane

These games are proof of people wearing rose tinted specs, I used to spend ages playing Monaco GP, played it recently and it's a pile of poo.

Wrong!!!

Stunt Racer 2000 had the best handling by a long way! Could get those babies sideways for ages!

A little secret for you: EA were working on a brand new version of Road Rash when I was working there; I played it. But it got canned. frown

While we're looking back at the good old days I reckon this game has still not been surpassed for realistic physics (shame about the graphics - but they were good at the time biggrin )

You could set the cars up completely and slipstreaming etc worked. Microprose grand Prix 2 cloud9

Loved mario kart on the n64... dug it out last summer when we had some mates over and played it on the projector when too pissed to play poker any more... good fun. The wife is quite keen on getting a wii for her birthday and I've just seen that mk is coming out on that, hope it's as good as the n64 version.

Road rash, superb.
