Forza 2 car classes
Discussion
Thanks both. Heres one for you. I have the RWD race left in the proving grounds (just started it all) and was using my gifted E type. Found it crap so sold it. Hhmm now I dont have a car to race with in a class that I havent already completed and I dont have enough credits to buy another car. So do I have to do all the other races again to build up my credits?
Cheers

Just keep doing new races with other cars you do have.
Sooner or later you will find yourself winning a really good rwd car, then you can go back and do the RWD race and win easily.
By using the cars you win, you can get away with only having to buy 2 or 3 cars. The first car I had to actually buy to progress was when I got to the Heavyweight race. dont get into the habit of just buying cars you think are cool and bumping them all up in power, you will run out of money in no time.
Take you time to work through the races, strategically tuning your car and oyu will have millions in no time.
Oh and buy the handling upgrades before power upgrades. Cheaper and will help you win more in the early stages. The only race I had problems with was the stock TVR Tuscan race. But I went back to it after 6 months and won it easily, so you also have to give your driving skills time to improve.
(BTW I'm 11 cars from get the All Cars achievement!)

Problem I have is this. My first car bought was a Corrado. I then completed all the races in the proving ground with that car I could and one a E type. I couldnt race the RWD achievement on the proven ground with it so sold it. So then I had only the Corrado. I then completed the VW challenge and redid a couple of races to get some credits and bought a RWD supra for the RWD cahllenge but again im struggling with it. Could be just going from FWD to RWD is taking some getting used to. So all I can do is persevere with the RWD challenge as I dont qualify for any other races.

With the Supra apply better suspension, gearbox and weight reduction and some stickier tyres.
That should be enough to allow you to win the RWD race. Also you could turn on traction control or reduce the AI to easy. Athtis stage you want to just get through the races, then when you start doing the faster races you will get a better feel for which type of cars you prefer and how to tune them.
Make sure you also get onto the offical Fora forums http://forums.forzamotorsport.net/forums/?
Under the racing techniques section there is a section devoted to free setups that you can try. You'd be surprised how much faster you are with a well set up car.

I did find on a forum/site somewhere how to do all the challenges in the most efficient way with the minimum of bought cars (used cars won in the previous races) - sorry this is actually a non useful post since I can't remember where I saw it - but a look might find it - try "Forza 2 tips"
I got the Corrado - it's a Group A car with 773 points, I love it (I painted it red and painted on my old No plate - sad I know - although mine was a 1.8 16V not the VR6 as is in the game) - must upgrade to the class A max to make it a little more competitive on the faster tracks.
