XBox 360 Hard Drive
Discussion
Hi,
I was given an XBox 360 with a couple of games for free and all was well until I bought GTA4. I hadn't used it much until then so hadn't realised why it was given to me - the hard drive is broken.
The fault is intermittent so sometimes the console starts fine but other times it won't, if I remove the hard drive the problem is solved but obviously I can't save games etc.
The question is, if I buy a new hard drive can I just plug it in and play?
I tried reading up on the internet last night but it started to sound a lot more complicated than that.
Thanks,
Matt.

My local gamestation has a transfer cable that they use to copy the contents of a hard drive to a new one (e.g. if you upgrade to an elite). Might be worth enquiring at your local and see if they offer the same thing.
Cheers, although in my case I literally hadn't used the machine until GTA4 arrived so anything on the broken hard drive can be junked.Gassing Station | Video Games | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
