according to formula1.com.

What we need is a simbin-a-like simulation, not a codies arcadey pants physics marketing excersize. Real shame IMHO.

Shall we wait for the game or at least a demo before judging it?

They can make a realistic sim, may i point you towards the pro-sim mode on Race Driver 3.

I agree with johnph, worth waiting for a demo. smile
Buuuuut, I thought Simbin had already been confirmed for it? confused
As long as there is a GTL 2 and GTR 3 from them, I'll be happy! driving

How long roughly as trends go then, before the next F1 game is ready?

Middle of next year, theres no point in them making a game based around the present season at this time.

I'm not one for leaking stuff - but either way there isn't really anything to tell over and above the press release.

We'll be figuring it out over the next few weeks. Consider that CM also publishes games for other developers though, there is no guarantee that the project will be done in the CM dev studios.

Isn't codemasters just the publisher?

I'm pretty sure it will be XBOX360/PS3/PC though, possibly plus some other platforms.
I've heard on another forum that Codemasters have said that they're going to be announcing another racing game next week, something to do with V8 Supercars. Is there any truth in that?

Cant remember the last Codemasters game I actually liked, probably one of the Colin Mcrae games on the PS1.

Shockingly unrealistic IMO and not worthy of PH attention, I'll put a tenner on it!

Have you played any of the newer stuff?
I've very much enjoyed DiRT etc. Makes a nice change to GTR2/GTL etc.
It's nice to be able to pick up and play! driving

Thank god I'm not the only person who thinks like that.

Although, I suppose, Race Driver on the PSP was 'fun' - but certainly not realistic.

I prefur much more realistic feel and physics, which codemasters have gone away from, a shame as the effect are nicely done.

They are awful! Its like going back 10 years in terms of physics. IMO made for the masses, not for people seeking realism.
