GTA IV - Blue people on radar - oops!

I came across one of these blue peeps early in the game and they attacked me, seemingly for no reason. Ever since, when I've seen one, I've sniped them (I thought they were dealers linked to the Manny missions!!!)

It appears that they're just random characters who react depending on your mission actions.

Doh!

Can anyone confirm?

Yes they are side-missions, you need to meet them/ do the missions to get 100% AFAIK.

the only random attack I've suffered is the Ancelotti family after I went to nick their Maybach lookalike and the girl recognised me from previous dealings.

I was about to do a little jacob mission the other week.

We went out to get in the car, and there was a guy standing in the way. Natrually I pushed him to the floor and stamped on his head.

He got up and Little Jacob started punching him, at this point I was getting agitated, so as jacob punched him to the floor I unloaded a clip into his head. Next thing I know I am getting praise from some random, apparently it was someone I was meant to kill

I love that game.

They came up as some weird logo but only when you get near them yeah? I've given a lift to some random bloke who dumped a body in the river, he talked of self falacio a lot. So there are more?

Plenty more, that guys the serial killer they keep talking about on the radio and internet. He appears later on too in a certain spot at certain times of the day and tries to attack you.
