The Mid Ohio Sportscar Circuit.

Looking better than the iRacing Road America with it's NR2003 engine and Hudson Kerr textures.

Just downloading it now, first time released across all 4 games, Rfactor, GTR2, RACE and GTL (yay)

I expect nothing else other than perfection from VLM.

Looks excellent, well up to their usual standards. I just need to get rfactor to let me on track for more than five minutes at a time without crashing back to the desktop!

Saying that iracing uses the nr2003 engine is like saying rfactor uses the gtr engine, which it clearly doesnt.

Mid ohio looks nice.

iRacing uses a development of the same engine that powered NR2K3 which is why they stopped all mod development on NR2K3 games and you can no longer buy NR2K3 either.

rFactor uses Gmotor2, GTR used GMotor.

Exactly my point, rf is an evolution of gtr, just as iracing is an evolution of nr2003 (which in itself, is an evolution of Grand Prix Legends). Modern software is often an iteration of previous software, with big chunks added and changed. Have you driven iracing yet? I wonder how many of the posters at tundras site actually have...

It's a really nice track, the colours are very natural and a teeny bit "old photo", and the flock of birds adds immensely to the atmosphere. I've always felt that sims need wind to stop them seeming like outer-space (some leaves blowing about, birds, something!), so it's a really nice touch. smile

The track is hella fun with the Mclaren M20. biggrin

Ive been racing on the RFC servers and I enjoy this track alot. Its really tricky to get a good lap in, im still at least two seconds off the pace using the Epselon Euskadi.

I crashed looking at the birds in the last race smile

As ive not played Iracing I cant comment, but with tracks like this for rFactor they have some good competition biggrinbiggrin

Well yet another piece of art from the VLM boys, the graphics are stunning, the whole look of it is beautiful, and the track itself is a lot of fun. Tried it with the 1985 lotus and it's a blast, those crests do send you in to the scenery when applying 1500bhp over them.

They take a long time to do their mods but they do produce some outstanding stuff, ProtoC is going to be legendry.
