I'm moving soon and want to clear out about 90% of my stuff. As part of this I'm going to get rid of my original Xbox and PS2 and would like to donate them to somewhere like a hospital or children's home.

What I'd like to know is will the Xbox hard disk contain any of my personal information I used for my Live account? I ported my account to my 360, so does this remove this data, and if not, is there a way to format the disk so that it is safe to give away?

Cheers

Anyone know? I'd feel pretty bad about smashing it up with a hammer to stop my credit card details going missing!

I'm sure there must be a way to remove the information from the HDD.

Failing that, just remove the HDD and give it away?

Just go into the account settings bit and remove it all from there to be on the safe side.

I didn't think it kept your card details on the xbox but on the xbox live servers.

Should be able to remove the account from the xbox somehow surely?

You should be able to delete all/any profiles that are on there.

Can also delete any game saves as well.
