What do you feel about this, should you be allowed to block someone overtaking you, or do you think you should get out of the way of faster cars? I see it as you can block someone but you have to make sure you don't take their front end off.

Within reason. It's a fine line between blocking and causing an accident though.

One defensive move and that should be it. No Swerving / Weaving, just move once, take your line (and Hold it) and drive sensibly.

I think if you're being lapped the only etiquette is to get out of the way of the faster car.

IMHO blocking should not be intentional, but if you are in front in a racing situation choose your racing line and stick to it.

just race as you would do if it were real! dont cause an accident but dont be worried about giving up your position, if i am behind it is my job to try and get past not yours to let me through. however if you are being lapped pull well off the racing line (again like you would in real life)

See? The art of good defensive racing, which was never weaving, is lost, thanks to F1.

I think you can stick to your line, no swerving, and no Schumacher chops. Early braking is fair game tho', as is hesitation out of corners to cause someone with a wide line to lose momentum.

Ah right i see, just i was racing the other night around the ring, and someone got a little upset because i didn't let him past. Oh well. I did have someone though who decided to take me out when i was lapping him.

when racing, will always block people trying to overtake, if can get them to flip or roll the car, all the better smile

I will try every fair maneuver for me to stay ahead, but if I'm failing to do it in a gentlemanly way I'll let him past.

exactly what i do as well, no point in crashing "for a laugh" but also not going to make it easy for you.
unless a chap called cornish is behind me at which point figure may as well let you through as far too fast for me anyway.shoot

play halo Custom edition, when racing, you get the option to shoot the other player who is trying to get past you, have to admit it makes it more fun than simply driving round and round in circles smile
