XBOX Live WTF??? HELP!

Ok, I've connected to xbox live, ported over the profile that was local on my xbox and now I've lost all my saved games.

HELP???

Are you 100% sure you ported the local tag across and didn't create a new one?

About 3 of my mates have inadvertantly created new profiles when signing up to live for the first time and that was the result.

Not sure, I think the only way now would be to pay another £40 odd for live membership on your old gamertag with the game saves on

If you do decide to do that it's a case of changing the name of your existing tag when it gives you the option, instead of creating a new one.

All of my mates with xboxs (well, 3 of them) Did this too! Played offline for a while, then went to join xbox live and couldn't use their existing account as the name was already taken, so created a new account, added gold membership to it, then realised lost all their saves and achievements.

Am I the only one who noticed the 'upgrade account to gold' button?
