I want to know if they're putting any new cars in it. I was at the Motor Show in London last week and couldn't help but notice PS3's at the Lotus stand with the Evora as a driveable car.

Really don't get that, with a wheel (set to simulation), all the aids turned off and professional physics enabled, it's already up there with PC sims like GTR and rFactor...

EDIT: Just read up on the update, and physics updates relate to collisions online and also the effects of the tyres, I assumed you ment the handling model needed a lot of work.

Downloaded the update; only raced in the beginner class races so far, but the penalty system appears to be far less strict.

One can get almost all 4 wheels on the grass on the inside of some corners at Suzuka and still escape a penalty. Quite useful for Degner 2. wink

The sound effects seem to have been improved. You can now hear a little "woosh" noise as the Honda NSX changes gear.

My online tag is: Rerhufgrubrun and my entire racing car collection is painted black. Be good to race some of you chaps on here. smile

rolleyes

I was only attempting to describe the sound that the software writers had now imparted to the game during gearchanges.

Maybe "woosh" wasn't the most apt description.

Nothing personal, just there is not much sound to speak of between gear changes in the NSX, or is this the upgraded car?

No probs. smile

Standard NSX on auto transmission playing the beginner races. Must say, the upchange / downchange noise does sound rather odd for an NA car.

On a seperate note, the near complete lack of penalties in the beginner classes now brings with it added problems. I can see general racing standards becoming even dirtier.

And a message to "luvvrider" in the BRG Elise from Germany: shout your driving etiquette stinks.

Anyone else think it's a bit off them charging for Top Gear? If you're in the UK and have a TV license it should be free imo

Agree with that, although I'm quite happy to pay the 69p for the D1 championship in lovely HD
