I must say, I thought the PC version was just ok - that was until I upgraded my PC (not that it was slow mind, but things had moved on).As with GTR2 (and the GTL addon thingy), Race 07 then became one of my fave games and it transformed the way the game played.Racing in the rain with all the detail turned up is simply superb, especially in the radicals or Caterhams.

Let us hope this offers up the same experience on the live network

Aye, Race 07 with bells and whistles (also coming on PC as you say), but a first for consoles and possibly more sim like than Forza etc.

Oooh, will be keeping my eyes on this one. Not played any of the PC based sims as my pc is rubbish, but have heard great things. Fingers crossed it's not watered down for us console thickos!

Uh-oh.

From the outside view that looks like the same crappy center of the car steering physics that they use in GRID...

To be honest, all outside views on car racing games look like arcade racers to me (can't stand em), so I wouldn't judge it from that, but I do hope they don't change much about it compared to the PC version.It also looks like someone is driving using the D-pad in that clip! If they do 'arcade' it up though, it won't be something I will be interested in, but they seem to be banging on about its simulation aspects though, so there is hope.

GTR2 was already "arcaded up" so the console game isn't going to be like the first game or rfactor.
I don't know why they release a video with such bad driving with what looks like using a keyboard, surely this does not show your game in the best light.

And anyone else nearly jump out of their skin in the last seconds of the video?.

Aye that's true, it did always have a 'safe' feel about it (although the Legends car addon feels really nice to me), but then Forza always felt 'safe' to me too, but I still think it sits nicely enough in the middle to keep sim heads and arcade peeps happy.I just hope this can do the same and if it leans a little more towards being a sim than Forza 2, I will be happy to purchase.

Once it switched to the in car view I think it looked pretty decent handling wise, as said above an outside view generally makes things look odd. I never use that view anyway so it doesn't fuss me.

Hopefully there will be a decent demo released so we can see for ourselves
