I got bored with WOW and LOTRO, there are only so many damn dirty orcs you can hack with a sword 
Was looking for something entertaining but drop-in-and out-able if you see what I mean.
Hubby then got me the Collectors Edition of TR for £4.95 from Game with a months free play. Well, what a hoot! It can be called a sci fi version of any other MMORPG, but the difference (IMO) is that it is huge fun to play. The control system is more FPS with mouse-look and you get to shoot the sh!t out of bad-ass aliens with 'frickin lasers'
One of the most entertaining bits is the 'capture the flag' Control Points where you help your forces fight off raids from the Bane (aforementioned 'bad-ass' aliens). It is also pretty easy (and fun) to solo because if you are canny, you can get the NPCs to help
For anyone who is looking for a bit of entertaining distraction for not much cash I would recommend it.
