wireless connector problems? Xbox 360

Right, I have the xbox, I have forza... I even have the xbox official wireless connector jobbie. Yet, I cant seem to get it to realise it has one? Its showing a red light on the connector - but I cannot get anything to work. It wont even let me do anything in the dashboard - only ever testing the network adapter.

I have reset everything (xbox/router everything) - put it in a more direct place (shouldnt be a problem - its got one wall between it - no other wireless devices in the house have a problem no matter where they are.

Any ideas?

Sometimes my wireless jobby loses it's memory or starts faffing me about with connection. I just plug the charger in and it fixes it.

I'd suggest it's a warranty issue and get on to Microsoft about it.

Hmm... been searching across the net and will try turning it off at the mains for a while... sodding thing. I hoped this would all be plug and play, why is nothing ever simple with microsoft?

My ps3 is fine with the wireless stuff, shame they havent any racing games worth having - I needed to get my forza fix back!

Well some chap on here t'other day bought a brand new xbox got home within 2 hours RROD.

Mine crapped out on me last night, disconnected the usb cable and put it back in and it reconnected straight away.

I'm slightly confused about the question!

Is it the Wireless internet adapter jobby or the Wireless Controller jobby that is buggered?

In the OP you mention it having a red light, indicating its a internet thing you are on about, but Slowride then tells you to plug it in??

Either way, Red Light of any sort = Not supposed to happen!

Get COD4 & GTA IV. Most of PH that play on-line regularly play these.

riiiight... wireless connection failed on first usage... now, I've just realised the split second I tilted the xbox accidentally to check the light on the wireless jobbie has infact ruined the forza disk. Its scratched to buggery. So I now have wireless capability, but in a gameless format. Car was keyed too, had a shocker of a day.

That's a bugger mate.

How bad are the scratches? My local gamestation has a disc fixer that might be able to sort it, maybe yours does to?

They also had a pre-owned copy of forza for under £10 so maybe you'll get lucky

I think you can get it replaced FOC.

the wireless network thingy was replaced FOC and works fine... the scratches are pretty bad though (deep) and mean that I have lost all dials when driving and never finish a race?! BAH!

Going to get it replaced now. Hope my run of bad luck ends here.

I had the same problem. i didnt no how to fix it so brought a 20m cable of ebay for £7 so much more easier and no lag.

cable connection gets my vote all the way
