Ok the missus is away for the weekend and im left at home with sprog so cant go out on the bike for a blat.

I noticed to day that Xboxes seem to have dropped a fair bit in price but there seems to be 3 options

1) - arcade the cheapest and no hd
2) - premium with 20 or 60gb hd
3) - elite with 120gb hd

now call me dim but other than hd, whats the differences, the boxes in the shop dont tell me.. is the elite really worth 50 quid more for a bigger hd or does it have something else...

if I just want to play GTa IV would the arcade at 125 quid do me ?

what do I need to get a working system...

I wouldn't go any lower than a premium, you'll want the HDD for when the extra content appears.

Elite is really just a bigger HDD and a nice black paint job, that's it.

In the next system update you will be able to rip the DVDs to the HDD to make game loading quicker, so the extra space might be useful.

a bit of digging reveals ( i think) the elite simple has black case bigger hd and bundled hdmi cable

so the only thing i think id be missing is the hdmi cable, but then Im going to use it with a 22" lcd monitor so i need the vga cable any way so i cant see any advantage there...

another quick question is the hdmi lead just a standard hdmi lead as I already have an hdmi for my mac mini ?

cheers

Dont always assume a bundle is the best deal. Maybe a new box with 2 used titles would do the business, forza certainly is dirt cheap now because even the new price is so low now...

Gamestation have some fantastic deals on.
There is another thread on here something like 'I've just bought a 360'... check it out.
I bought an Elite with 3months LIVE gold membership and the wireless adaptor for the RRP of the Elite. Bought Forza 2, Project Gotham 4 and Gears of War in addition, all pre-owned for £35! smile
