GTA4 Hit and Run Tips?

This is really p'ing me off in Multiplayer

Every time (and I mean literally) someone hits me with a car (/vehicle), they kill me

Yet no matter how I do it (full speed, straight on/on a corner) I never kill them

Is there a particular method on this?

nope, quite often been at full health and armour yet still get H and R'd!

Try and put some lead in them before you run them over.

I've taken to doing a good speed and trying to splat them that way so I'm only in the hot zone for a limited period of time turn round and do the same again.
