Hi Guys

Is the full version of GT5 still due for release next March?

I can't wait! My purchases of a PS3 and a new TV is contingent on this event.

I have fond memories of the release date of the previous Gran Turismos.

Also, will PS3s drop in price before March? TVs are amazing value now - GT5 will be awesome on the 50 inch Panasonic for £699 from Comet ; )

Next March? hehe

I think you'll be lucky to see it by March 2010.

No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember GT4 took ages to come out too. Its release coincided with my girlfriend going to Australia for 3 weeks. Happy days!

Maybe they should stop developing concept cars for Citroen and devote more time to the game, its getting ridiculous now.

this is the only reason I wont get shot of my Ps3... only ever use it for GTA4 and have recently bought an xbox 360 for my driving game kicks. GT5 prologue doesnt fill me with confidence for GT5 to be honest. frown hmm

well its certainly fun trying out the new Evora and California in GT5P, so perhaps they'll continue to upgrade GT5P until the full release of GT5 comes out?

Agreed.

At this rate, it will never live up to the hype generated. Even if the game provided a holographic F430 to drive, complete with the delicate aroma of spent super-unleaded in the air - it would never suffice - and folks will be disappointed smile

At what point are they planning to freeze the design? At this rate with all of their fluffing around it will be the opening realease for the PS4... frown

Also they run the risk of releasing it when Forza 3 comes out, which to be honest I will probably favour. I fully intended to buy a PS3 just for GT5 but if it is out around Forza 3 I would rather devote my time to that rather than try and play both at the same time.

I bought the 360 prior to Forza 2's release, merely as a stopgap, as my PS2 (and my 4th copy of GT4) had packed up. I've never bought a GT prologue before, and no amount of DLC is going to get me to change that now. Forza really exceeded my expectations, and as pretty as GT5 looks, it's going to have to be absolutely mindboggling if they want to entice people away from their Xboxes.

+1
I had a quick play on it at a mate's house and loved it! thumbup
Primarily bought my 360 because it had come down in price and I wanted GTA4 (which I haven't bought yet!) and am loving FM2 much more than I expected. I'll probably end up with a PS3 (I say 'probably'... hehe) for a Blu-Ray player, Metal Gear & GT5.
Here's hoping FM3 is a cracker though! biggrin

I should think we'll see Forza 3 before GT5.

He is talking about the 360 isnt he?
What do you mean by persistant date, you mean it loses the time if you unplug it?
If it is connected to live the date updates automatically after a minute or so.

I've been waiting for GT5 before getting a PS3 as well. I've thought about Forza but for me the best thing about GT4 was not the game itself but the 900 deg steering wheel... last time I looked X-Box did not support any such wheels, and I just can't imagine going back to half a turn of lock...

I've been avoiding GT5Prologue because I bought GT4 Prologue and did not touch it from the moment I got GT4. I also found it not representative of the final product. but the more I see of GT5 prologue, not least watching F40s whizzing around on YouTube, the more tempted I am.. I might crack soon.
