I didn't realize it had been given a release date.

If it's true that GTP's friends lobby is to be accessed through it then yes, I'll use it a lot. Not sure I'll be too bothered about getting the best furniture for my apartment though!

Some leaked info here, supposedly a copy and paste from the Home beta testers forum LINK

It mentions the open beta starts soon and the rumored date is the 20th of November. As with all things Home related I'd say take it with huge pinch of salt.

Closed Beta (appx 15,000 users) April-August
Open Beta (appx 50,000 users) August-October

It seems completely overhyped to me...a free GTA where you can't do any of the things which make GTA fun in the first place?

My mate has been given a Beta key this week (stev0090 a lurker and occasional poster on here)

Now he wasn't really bothered by it and he hates all this social networking and facebook stuff, but he has nothing but good words to say about it. His exact words to me being "It's such a clever idea and has masses of potential"

I'm going to have a good play with it this weekend and shall report back.
