Yup! It is enjoyable. Shame about the lack of maps though.

Is it much better than the dreadful single player?

I liked the single player. not a match on COD4 but yes much better.

really is a multiplayer game first and single seems to be a afterthought

Is it more like the PC battlefield games, with massive maps and vehicles you pretty much have to use to get around?

COD4 is great, but the maps are far too small IMO.

I have the demo for PS3 but apart from looking very pretty it isn't as involving or addictive as previous BF games on PC. Just can't get used to using a controller for FPS games.

+1 - COD4 plays just like frag matches in Unreal Tournament.

What I'd like is BF2 style/size maps with COD4 graphics and physics.....not asking too much? frown

No, Bad company is to restrictve in the gameplay, i don't feel as if i can do what i want when i want. Not really sure how to explain it but it just does not feel right. COD 4 has online playability that i have not seen since the original Battlefield 1942DC which is still the daddy for me.

Sure buildings blow up, which is nice but not reason enough for me to buy it, especially after the lag of the demo.

Battlefield 1942 DC with updated graphics, that is where it should be. Free fire Air to Air missles, those were the days of the proper pilots, MLRS with the spotter, huge arty hits on the enemy base, 100 people on a map, organised in a tourney, complete carnage and proper tactics being used.

There is nothing like the sight of 30 people parachuting out the back of a HIP on to the middle flag at El Alamein with rockets streaking across the sky and someone on TS shout "I NEED SOME fkING HELP AT FLAG2!!!"
