I can't find another thread on this, I guess the game has been put into the shadows by the other big releases this week.

I happened to quite like the Tom Clancy games maybe a little more than I like COD.

Just wandering if anyone has got this yet and what they think of it? I'm only going to get one of either this or COD5 this weekend and I'm more inclinded to EndWar at the moment.

I'd be interested to hear too. I loved Ghost Recon and GR:IT on the original xbox although their 360 counterparts weren't quite so enjoyable.

Having said that, you shouold try cod5 - it's much better than 4...!

Is it really that much better than 4? To be honest I didn't think 4 was as good as the hype.
Rainbow 6 was the first time I got interested and half decent at running/shooting/strategy/war type games.

Everything I've read about COD:WaW suggests it's not quite up there with COD4.

Depends if you want an FPS or an RTS this week I guess, if you're not much of an RTS fan then you'd have to be a big Clancy fan to pick this up.

And with that in mind how are COD5 and EndWar in different catagories. To my civilian mind they both involve running around and shooting bad guys.

I've just checked out some reviews, Endwar has some well written reviews, both good and bad. All COD has at the moment is a 11 year old yanks saying how awesome it is.

Well Call of Duty is like Rainbow Six in that you're directly in control of yourself and do all the shooting, but Endwar is more of a strategy game where you give orders to your units and they do your bidding, so you have less direct control over things.

If you're expecting another Rainbow Six then you're in for a shock. Think more along the lines of Command and Conquer and you're there.

I've never played C&C. But with that in mind I shall go for COD5 for now and pick Endwar up as a preowned in the future.

I got the demo for 360.

The voice controls are really intuitive and can be a laugh when you get into it and start belting out "Unit 6 attack hostile 8!".

It's nothing like CoD at all, you play a commander and have to tell units where to attack etc as opposed to being a soldier on the ground.

Haha, sorry.

If you're on live I'd strongly recommend getting the demo as I can see how it could be a love it or hate it game.

I played the demo on ps3 quite a bit.

It seems okay, if a little dumbed down compared to others of the genre

Endwar is good but after an hour or so it gets a lttle boring. I haven't tried it online yet though. COD5 is good but im just loving Gears of War 2 at the moment.
