OH has treated me to an Xbox for Christmas, package bundle with some good games for the kids and PGR4 for me.
Enjoying the PGR4, but have not really been into gaming since my PS2 days - so I am not aware of all the good games out there at the moment. Looking for another good driving game - what can anyone recommend ? - used to love the GT series on PS2, anything similar for the Xbox ?
Would also like a shoot em up / action game - any other suggestions ?

I'd recommend the Half-Life 2 Orange Box: HL2, Episodes One and Two expansion packs, Portal and Team Fortress 2, all for £15 from Amazon.
Call of Duty 4 has a good (if short) single player campaign, and the multiplayer is excellent, though very addictive once you start prestige mode.
Fallout 3 isn't exactly a shooter, but it is the best RPG if you can't stand all the ye olde world and fantasy RPGs that litter the market.
GTA4 is worth a mention too. Driving and shooting in the same game. What's not to like?
