driving game for PS1 with the 'ring on it

Hi all. I've never graduated past my original playstation in games consoles and don't really want to buy anything else (i'm not really into this kind of thing and the original gran turismo still satisfies all my gaming cravings except it doesnt have the nurburgring on it) , I would rather like to play something with the 'ring on it.. something quite accurate if possible. Is there a game for the PS1 that has this? cheers all

Yes GT4 is on PS2 the steering will not work on it though .Say £50 or less for a PS2 + a bit more for a wheel,well worth it .from game (I they have any left) you can get a preowned PS2 for around 40 pound.
that with GT4, a memory card your looking at 50 pound.
a rather good investment IMO, and If you like the ring, when you get it save up around a million on GT, get the 2 litre BMW touring 320I and do the ring as quick as you can.
I say the 2 litre beemer, as its not got a lot of grunt (enough but not like a viper) you have to wind it up and sling it round corners as fast as you can and get your lines perfect.
with the 320i touring car (600k) and qualifing tires and a mod (turbo I think) I managed 6,49
