I have a speedtouch st585 v6 modem, and the 360 is connected directly by rj45 cable. I have allowed upnp and my nat setting is still strict. Can anyone provide help or advice. I have been on google for hours trying to figure this out.

I occasionally have this problem, last night on grand theft auto, it said my router was too strict and was unable to connect, and something about the NAT settings, i have asked on here before and got told to change the NAT settings but couldnt find them! frown

go into the router settings and you want to find the dmz setting, its usually somewhere in the security tab, you then need to enter your xbox's ip address into the dmz bit, and it will then remove that ip address from the dmz filtering process (in lay-mans terms)

it also helps to turn off your fire wall on the router.

Hope that helps

glad to hear,

just bear in mind that when in the dmz the xbox is not behind a firewall..

shouldnt be an issue, but just be aware of it
