PS3 Tag question

Following on from the 'I have a new PS3' thread, I have a question regarding online tag-names:

What is the obvious option/way of saving friends/PHers tags within the games that I own so that I can see if they are online to play against?

Press the PS button... go to 'Friends' or 'Met Online,' something like that and you can see everyone you have Met Online and you can add them and then they will show up under 'Friends'...

er... that makes sense in my head!
