GTA and money

sorry for starting another GTA thread but im getting to the point where i am going to run out of money, I have done all the main missions and i am hacking through the side missions but i seem to be spending more money than i am making. . .

are there any tricks to getting a few grand?

I really don't know how you've managed it, I couldn't spend it all, ended up with millions in the bank by the last few missions.

Try the car export missions for a few quid, or assassinations.

I finished all the main story with only £100k in my bank.

I re-started the game as I'd spent all my money on rockets, grenades and guns. I think I had about $400,000 by the time I completed.

There is an easy way - steal cars and take them to the garage. You can only do this after you do the specific mission, but once done you can literally steal any car, and take as many as you want there. You can rack up thousands in no time at all (just steal them from right outside the garage and drive them straight in!).

Another good one is to steal security vans and blow them up, loads of money will fall out when you do this.

Also, try and remember where the good weapons/ armour are instead of buying them from the shop or Jacob, saves you a lot of cash.

No, it's the one at the North East of the map. After the taxi shop gets firebombed you move to another apartment - it's near that.

The missions are the ones where you have to locate a specific car using the photo on your phone. I think it's Stevie who sends you them, after you complete Brucie's missions. When you finish all of those, you can then take any random cars to the garage (it's marked on the map by a car, although it's not easy to see).

Damn thats useful. I finished the story with $400K. I've have blown the lot on rockets and grenades, and am down to my last $4K.

It's good fun that, I'd recommend taking the truck somewhere quiet before blowing it up so it's easier to get away.

ETA: another good tip is to park it on a slope, so when it explodes it falls away from the cash, which makes it easier to pick up without catching on fire.

Another good idea is to steal a good car and park it near where you're going to blow up the truck, that way your getaway car is ready go even before you get there, sadly though sometimes the getaway car itself missing when you return!!!

fkit man, shoot the police & steal their car big chase

Does the more you blow it up ie: use two grenades instead of one mean you get more dosh from it or is just to once sufficient? I'm going to experiment later. Is there a securicor deopt with a lod of the vans in? That'd be luvly if there was.

Not that I'm aware of. Still a new Xbox + all the associated gubbins will set you back £200 which isn't that much money. We always need fresh meat for the grinder.

Unfortunately I have a long list of other stuff that I need to spend money on at the moment! It seems daft that both versions have an online mode but aren't compatible with each other. Although they do seem to use the same system to connect and I did have to sign up for some kind of X Box 360 account when I installed it so maybe they are...
