Anyone else downloaded the demo for this?

Its only 2 scenes, the 2nd actually being easier to start out on, as its a little less hectic than the first, but I cant stay off it.

The controls are not easy to master if you are more used to a FPS setup (I dont really count this as a FPS, its more an adventure game I suppose...though nothing on the level of Fallout). However, there are some short-cut buttons that, once mastered, make things a little quicker. One major gripe is that you cant move/strafe while shooting - which is a frustration when you are being attaced by hoardes of zombies....you just have to stand there like a moron and suck it up.

Plus points:
The graphics are really good, the setting itself and attention to deatil is brilliant.

There is limited ammo to start meaning that you have to hunt around and conserve what you have...so its not just a spray and pray.

The co-op aspect is great, as sharing supplies is crucial, and the demo even has an on-line option which makes it a far better downlond than the limited Killzone2 effort.

I'm a big fan of the COD series, but this will make a nice change....the overall feel of the game is great, cant wait for it to hit the shelves.

Yeah I really liked the demo, biggest gripe most people have is the controls, but they're what make a Resident Evil game, you have to be very deliberate in what you do, there's no running and gunning as it's not that sort of game, it's a run or gun game.

Definitely comes alive in co-op, so I've got a mate lined up to play through it with. Roll on March 13th.

I like it but is there a way to reload easily? I have to go into the menu and combine shells with the shotgun whiclst standing still.

Whilst aiming hit X on the PS3 (or A on the 360).

Ha! I think I'd have done the same if I'd have only given it 5 minutes. Thanks for your input though. smile

I've played the demo a few times on the Xbox, and did find it very nice to look at. The gameplay let it down a bit for me. There wasn't anything wrong with the controls so to speak, my biggest gripe was the paltry amount of ammo.

Okay, I realise that these games don't give you much, but I had so little I couldn't kill all the baddies.

I'll have to see what the reviews say.

I played it through and also deleted. It's too much AND too little like resi 4 (someone else said that somewhere) for my liking.

Resi 4 was brilliant though.

I say get smashing, plenty of ammo around if you look through the shacks and smash everything in sight. About 1 in 4 enemies was dropping ammo of some sort when I played it too.

Its very hard isnt it?

Or was that just me?

I like it, the clumsy controls add to the excitement.

Thats the way - have you found the scorpian machine pistol on the first level yet? That evens things up!

It is tough yeah, and the controls add to the tension. I can see it being a frantic 2 player experience where you're constantly yelling at each other for ammo and shouting warnings about zombies behind them.

I got rid after 5 mins. Not being able to move and shoot is a big no no for me.

At the very back right hand side corner of the Public Assembley map, in a briefcase (on top of crate behind a market stall). When the nutter with the axe comes through the gate, leg it past him all the way to the back.
