Would any of the regulars be interested in this if I hosted a track?

Although I have no idea what track or mod to use at the moment.

Could be interesting.

I see TPSCC 2.0 came out the other day. Haven't tried it yet.

I was having a look at it last night, I also have the Cup 2006 cars in the same folder (real liveries) no idea where they came from, perhaps the earlier V1 install as the V2 are separate folder installs in the National Stock Car folder. The Cup 2006 cars I like more than the COTs.

But as for tracks....

Seems that for the TPSCC V2 each cars has tyres in the upgrades that are designed for all of the TPSCC tracks and no others. Yet I have yet to find a TPSCC track link that I would like to try working.

I'd prefer the 2006 cars as they are much better looking!!!

Funny enough I downloaded the TPSCC and a few of its tracks the other week. I'll see if I can dig out the links to the tracks. If not I can upload them from my HDD.

So are the 2006 Cup cars part of the original TPSCC V1 /v1.1 update? If so that narrows that down.

½ way down the page.

Didn't Rfactor originally ship with Stockcars? I think it did. I know they were the earlier models. I've installed Rfactor lite now and don't have those ones hence why I had to download the TPTCC mod.

This is how the NASCAR mods fit into my options. Cup06 cars highlighted. NatioalStockCar are the ISI standard ones and the others are the other TPSCC mods.

Right what I will do is start with the TPSCC 2008 V2 mod, the COT cars and download the first 5 of the tracks on the pits link plus the 1.1 tracks patch.

So one of these tracks:-
  1. Florida - v1.0 (Daytona)
  2. Fontana - v1.0
  3. Nevada - v1.0
  4. Georgia - v1.0 (Atlanta)
  5. Tennessee - v1.0 (Bristol short oval)
Plus - Tracks v1.1 patch - all 5 tracks (above) must be installed before using this.
Plus this oval
  1. Alabama - v1.0 (Talladega superspeedway)
And these 2 road tracks
  1. Sonoma - v1.0 (Sears Point)
  2. Watkins Glen - by Jason Shomper, v2.1
The TPSCC tracks all install to a folder called USPits, that is where you will find them in the rFactor track listing. Watkins Glen if don't already have it (we used it to race the NAGTs there) installs normally to the main locations folder.

Then when I host I will set it up to allow COT cars and Cup 2006 cars then we'll run them then test to see if the 06 Cup cars work if not a quick change of car back to COT will have to do. Of course going to the upgrades section of the chosen car before joining to set the cars aero config to either superspeedway, short course, road etc. and the correct tyre to match the track.

Not sure when though as it won't be a "server" it will be my PC here.

OK, I understand now...

Cheers for that!

Just found a backup copy of my old ISI (2006) cars. Copied that across, downloading the tracks and I'll be up for this.

Alternatively, I've managed to scrape together all the LMP1 LMP2 GT1 & GT2 cars from Le Mans series (last couple of years). Wondered if anybody wanted an endurance of that? (1hr race?)

+ There's a thread on the Pits forums titled 560 setups, the COT2 and "Fixed" ones are for the V2 mod.

I'd possibly be interested. I think I might be more competitive on ovals, I used to play on Papyrus Nascar sims quite a bit.

I did as well. smile

Then I started installing the extra mods for it like the Redline World Sportscars (Sauber, Jaguar, Toyota) luckily the original modified exe ones before the evil iRacing people stopped everyone modding it because they were going to be doing it themselves and create iRacing.

Would like to get more than 2/3 people, I'll try tomorrow night. Probably on Bristol (Tenessee) as we'd soon get lost on a Superspeedway with just a few people.

I'm going to start it up now. Pistonheads2 server usual password.

TPSCC V2 mod with COT 2008 cars at Tenessee (Bristol short track). Track patch needed (mentioned above)

Use Short oval config and Tenessee tyres in the car upgrades section before joining the server. Grand Designs is on a 9pm so I might be away then but this is just a connection test and to check mod/track miss-matches.

Oops, only just spotted this. I would guess I'm too late as it's now 9pm when you said you'd be off.

It was there, sometimes the PH server is invisible. Few refreshes.

Although I think I did do a restart at about 9pm because I can't change the practice session, it was default 20mins only.

Try again tomorrow.
