Who's getting Resident Evil 5 then?

Out this Friday.

Game are doing a few special trade in deals, where you can get more than the normal £6 for certain games.

GoW 2 is worth 18.99 traded against RE5 for example.

My copy is being posted off today and should be here tomorrow. Reviews are looking pretty average, but should be good fun playing through with a mate and a bit of a break from all the Street Fighter shenanigans.

But Capcom have been on good form recently.

Not impressed by the demo tbh. It just seems ridiculous you still can't move and shoot at the same time, especially when surrounded.

That doesn't really bother me.
Assuming the game is scary (like the original, unlike Resi 4) that always adds to the tension.
It was a pain the first time I played a Resi game, but then you see it adds to the terror..

Currently battling my way from RE4 on the Wii. It;'s growing on me, so i may give this new one a go (once it comes down in price). Does anyone know if it has online gaming?

Yes, 2 player co-op and there is a mercenaries mode once the main game is finished where you face down a never-ending wave of zombies until the time runs out. There is also DLC coming that offers a versus mode and a few other bits and bobs for the mercenaries mode.

Played it for about 30 mins tonight and to be honest the control system is crap (more likely I am crap!) Keep getting my guy killed by the first guy with the big axe and I dont know weather to leg it with the chick or stand and fight??

Will try it again in a less "angry" mood hehe

Oh dear.

Played the demo last night - I wont be getting the full game.

Whilst it looks amazing, it plays awfully, the control system is pants, its too slow, the not being able to shoot and move thing is really annoying and just doesnt play very well imo.

I cant see the full game being significantly better than the demo, so Im out.

As has been said before, the controls define the game. It's run or gun, not run and gun. If you don't like the controls then it's clearly not your sort of game, but it's like that by design.

Controls were crap, very slow.

But on my PS3 it crashed twice before I got to shoot any zombies so I gave up. If they can't get a demo to work then I'm not getting the full game.

Not sure why everyone is moaning about the controls? I mean theres been 8 or so previous games the same so it's not a new thing.

Because they're still crap and there are much more intuitive control systems around.
