FORZA retro racing

So today I've been watching some great old clips of rallycross at Lyddon Hill and thought shame we havent got it on FM2, fingers crossed for 3

Well it got me thinking, as the Nations cup is in full flow and the International Cup will be forthcoming for Sundays, I was going to propose a Thursday night Retro Rally Car race series, short tracks, lots of laps........

The Cars

(B700)

1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS
1983 Audi Sport Quattro
1991 BMW M3 E30
1992 Lancia Delta Integrale
1980 Renault 5 Turbo


The Tracks

Maguello Short (15 laps)
Road Atlanta Short (15 laps)
Sebring Raceway Club (15 laps)
Silverstone National (15 laps)
Suzuka East (20 laps)
Tsukuba Short (20 laps)
Maple Valley Short Reverse (20 laps)

Best 5 out of 7 count (yes you can drop two rounds)

Scoring

1st = 10 points
2nd = 8 points
3rd = 6 points
4th = 5 points
5th = 4 points
6th = 3 points
7th = 2 points
8th = 1 points


So who's up for this then?

ps I'd like to point out this in no way undermines Curry Becklestones great work on the other championships.

How do i get the renault 5 turbo??? and the E30??? Are they downloaded cars?

I did suggest a PH Forza Classics Championship a while ago but I never got it any further than just an idea.

Are we running period livery??

The R5 and E30 are part of the download car packs, a must IMO as there are loads more too.

It would be nice to see some old school livery, obviously the Martini Delta is very common on the AH, or if you know a good friend on here

Means some googling for images, cant decide what car to use myself, but might just go out with the fairies abit

There is a bit of me thats thinking of banning FORZA spoilers on this too, just to keep it a little more interesting

Often wondered about that, seems the full aero package completely transforms the car!

But if we are talking old school rally classics then shirley mahoosive spoilers are the norm?

I had thought about them but the others I've listed are a little more rally crossy, dont think the 240Z got much of an outing in x, and the stratos was pure rally. I happy to include them if everyone wants.

Just to point out Carl, we can't do 20 laps because the counter jumps from 15 to 25. So i'm guessing we can just do 25 on the tracks that you've marked as 20.

Errm isnt the R5 going to just crush eveyone else unless you enforce stock tuning, epecially on short tracks. Its not a leaderboard car for nothing.
