Discussion
I was wandering around town earlier on and spotted a good deal on a Playstation 3 which I snapped up. It's about time I dragged my sorry ass in to the next generation of gaming to be quite honest. Managed to get the 80gb console, Little Big Planet (Off to eBay sharpish) and Sega 40 classics or something. Now, It seems a bit odd that I'm playing Sonic and Street Rage on this fancy new console but there we go.
Can someone please suggest how to get the best out of this beast?
Which games really are a 'must have' as I'm afraid I'm a little out of the loop etc.
Also, any good 26' LCD TV's going about for a reasonable choice?
Educate me.
Many Thanks.
P.S. Hi all.

Oh, and a headset so you can shout abuse at your fellow PHers while turning them to mince with your M4.
None of that just yet.
Any recommendations for a 26' TV chap?
I bought mine back in June last year, so prices should have come down a bit or there will be a new one out. Mine cost £400, and there are better makes of TV's out there, but this one has suited me fine.
Another thing, Costco have a 5 year warranty on electrical items so if it breaks, you get what you paid for it back... which is useful.

I'll have mooch around and see what I can come up with, ideally just want something for the bedroom that I can use so nothing to big.
Will need to save up for a Pioneer Plasma in the lounge...

i'd suggets you keep little big planet. it's quite a fun and addictive game.
Don't keep it, get rid of it now, it is the spawn of the devil!(OK, it's bloody addictive and great fun, but don't say you wern't warned!)
Best get rid now I think.

Get yourself a Pioneer Kuro 50" TV and a wireless cinema system. Then buy a sofa like a black klippan from IKEA (or one from the helpful chaps at bfd (see my links)).
Stick COD4 in and blast away! I'm a sucker for COD:WAW as I like the WWII games. GTA is awesome, I still p!ss myself when driving around with a car full of mates with guns sticking out... not quite sure why I laugh so much! FIFA for your football needs (Pro Evo is slow and awful in it's latest incarnation) and Little Big Planet for your inner child (or to play with the missus if she insists on playing with ya!
Don't get me started on Blu-ray... although you did ask so start with Casino Royale and go from there!
