Box took the latest download last night.
Now after 10 min's of playing screen goes fuzzy and the 360 crashes. No rings of death no red lights at all. Restart, and all ok for little while then again all repeats. This at first was in Forza last few times was even happening during the boot up sequence before getting to the dashboard.

Couple of Q's

Is about 2-3 years old now does Microsoft warranty only cover the RROD fails?

Seems strange it has happened straight after taking the download. Anyone else had this?

I personally think the new dashboard is gay and I liked the old one a lot more, but I haven't had any problems with it so far.
That said, I've only had it a few weeks.

Booted up last night and after the second attempt on rebooting with the freeze and crashing and RROD, never before happy to see the 3 little lights in red.

Green on power supply as well, trim off all the other parts, test again, call MS and ups ticket in the post.

Not all true what is said about them biggrin

Ya know, I'm not entirely sure they check for RROD.

Cat's console packed up some time back and at the time it did indeed get the RROD but after that it rarely got it again but instead gave no output from the Xbox to the TV, i.e. it was an expensive paper weight.

We sent it off to get repaired and they either managed to induce RROD by way of some miracle or they didn't bother to check and just sent out a re-con unit.
