Can anyone recommend a good online strategy game?

I have played Tribal Wars to death, enjoyed it but am getting sick of the idiots on there and would like to get my teeth into a fresh challenge.

Does RA3 work well on a console? Love the C&C series on the PC, wasn't sure what it'd be like away from keyboard and mouse...

My home PC needs upgrading but I should really do it. Like you I love these types of games on a PC but struggle with the console.

I have heard that Halo Wars works well on the 360 though - anyone support this?

Couldn't get on with that. It was all "kill 3 of those", "Speak to him", "Collect 8 of those", "Take 7 of those there". Pretty much WoW, I guess.

Just unnecessary grief. I have been in the same tribe for ages and I get frustrated with ppl requesting my to join their tribe and then giving me offensive banter (racist and against my mum!!!) that is just not necessary.

I don’t play that game to be a tribe leader or council member. I just like building troops and beating up villages, don’t need that s***e.

Also I have played it for a while now and its always nice to get something new.

Oh, not experienced that. I just reply with, "Thanks for the offer but I'm happy where I am." and never hear back from them.

I did have one chap begging me not to wipe him out. That was amusing although I did feel slightly guilty. I can't imagine one of Kasparov's opponents actually begging him not to checkmate.

Well I’m not a nasty fellow, far from it.

I do not reply to any tribe requests, this may invite a little criticism but on the whole I don’t see how that justifies an aggressive response.

Tis a bit odd. There are a lot of kids playing, though.

I got the feeling it was about 80% kids playing on there

I tend to get bored with the worlds once I am up to 1 mill points ,no one ever seems to attack you when you reach that stage and most village disputes seem to resolve themselves fairly quickly.

I can't be arsed to go that far. The fun is in attacking others so I just build up troops and attack whichever target my tribal leader tells me to. I have about 15 villages and have done so for the last 6 months.
