Forza - Which cars in which class?

I'm fairly new to playing Forza and sometimes struggle online due to simply picking uncompetitive cars in the class, for instance my B700 Clio is great, I really like it but can't compete with some of the other B700 cars out there. So I'd like to know which car(s) are best in each class for the different tracks, I have a decent stash of money and would like to buy a few of the recommended cars and begin tuning a painting them so any suggestions/recommendations would be gratefully received.
e.g.
B Class
Twisty/Technical Circuits - Renault Clio 197
Long Fast circuits - Seat Leon
A Class
Twisty/Technical Circuits - Blah blah blah
Long Fast circuits - Blah blah blah
Also if anyone is aware of any decent tuned cars out there in the Auction House then I'm happy to buy them. Or if anyone here is happy to sell a well setup car then I'm also happy to buy

A class twisty and turning I have to say my Scooby is spot on 
A class long I think Fuzzters Viper is going to be a contender. Although Curry will say his Porker.
Think there was recent thread on this with a little table that a few of us filled out

I was told a while ago that the best way to tune cars is select what class you want it to be i.e. You want a B700 Racer.
Then choose a car 2 classes lower, So a D class, and tune it up to B700.
Same goes if you want an A850... Take a C Class and pimp it... (Purple Suit with Wide Brimmed Sombrero optional).
Then choose a car 2 classes lower, So a D class, and tune it up to B700.

Exactly its not going to wipe the floor, but could be the diffence between 8th and 4th or 5th in PH races. Also will give you an understanding of how tuning works. I've learnt alot from that tune and now have a few cracking tunes floating around.Easiest way (IMO) to find the best car is to go to the lap time scoreboards for the class/track you want a car for and look there.
If one car fills the top slots (as it usually does), you are pretty safe to assume it's the fastest in class for that track.
If you want to take it further, find one of the top times that uses the same assists as you, download their set up (if you can't, just keep going down the list) and then try to load it onto your standard car. It will then give you a list of things missing from the car, so take a note of these, buy the bits, slap them on, load the set up and Bob's your uncle, you have a car that has set one of the fastest times in the world Fair enough it was set up for someone else, but it's a pretty good start.
You could do it all yourself, but if you don't have the knowledge or inclination (like myself), then I find the above is the way to go
I also treasure my Xbox time and prefer to use it for racing rather than setting up cars
