Since CoD4 I have started plying all games on at least 'Hard' difficulty and been enjoying them more, before this I always played on medium/standard, this was at the age of 24 and I feel like an idiot for not doing it earlier.

When (if at all) did you guys ramp up the difficulty? And are there any people on here who start their games on the 'Extreme' difficulty levels straight away?

I usually just pick medium on most things first time through.

If you're playing something like Call of Duty it can take twice as long to do it on the hardest level compared to the one below.

Ever Since GTA3 came out and friends were using the "Gun Cheats" I made the dicision to play on Harder Difficulties with no cheats.

Well... GTA3 and DMC, Easy was too easy... Medium was nails. Hard was... I still have nightmares.

So I guess I decided to break away from my friends trend and get the most out of my games when I was... *counts on fingers* 15? maybe 16.

I went through COD WaW on veteran, otherwise i thought it would just be too easy. But that was painful.

I've finished COD 4 now on veteran including the mile high challenge. Cant really see the point.

But you certainly make the most out of games
