Hi all

Can anyone recommend a value for money joystick for use with Microsoft flight sim FX. Im a first timer and dont want to spend stupid amounts of money, so something not too expensive would be good.

Any recommendations?

it will be more than you want to spend, although there is ebay but Saitek X52 is perfect for flight sim. If you really get into it then you will want pedals for the rudder.

i liked the look of that but it is out of my price range.. i have seen the Saitek Aviator which seems decent enough. Has anybody used this one?

I use a Saitek RumbleForce which has been fine for many years, probably not made anymore but a near equivalent is the aviator or st290 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Saitek-Joystick-ST290-Pro-... Difference been my one has a rumble feature; which I do not use.

What you need is a joystick that twists left/right for rudder and has POV for looking around and buttons near to hand for trim and flap settings, trim is very important.

If you really get into it, get a trackir4 or 5, its expensive but makes a quantum leap in reality, can also be used for loads of other games

I've got a Logitech Wingman force 30 - rumble, twist grip etc, designed for Flight Sim. PM me and we can work out a deal.

Just a quick question,

Is the Logitech 3D Pro still considered the best affordable joystick for FS? And will it work with Windows 7?

Thank you for any advice; I can't go on using the keyboard any longer, it is just so damn hard.
