So... it has been mentioned. If you would like the Dirty Boys to run another Comp. then I am starting to feel the Vibe again.

Doubtful whether we could maintain quite the ambition of the previous one, however, I'm sure we can have a laugh again.

Lots of ideas have been banded about and lots of conversations between peps have taken place.

The Dirty Boys have been shaken up in the last Month and a half and the Forza Time and Enthusiasm has dwindled slightly.

But... all suggestions welcome and perhaps we can set something up.

smile

Don't forget, there are the Current Cups Running, plus the possibility of the Cararararrea Cup soon. Mention of a 'Stig' alike Test Pilot for Tunes has been mentioned to determine a Winner as well.

I don't really mind, but a kick up the arse to get PH Tuning going certainly seems like a good idea! thumbup

It's like handbags at dawn in this place sometimes wink poor Dawn.

Ok so if we are thinking about this to help launch the Tuning House, maybe we need two seperate comps a class / tune comp and a paint tune. Obviously if we do this as a set make / model it will make things easier for the painter comp.

ps I'll bung up 10,000,000cr in prize money

I can't help but think a competition isn't the best way forward for the painting side of the tuning house idea, perhaps it'd be better for people to come up with a paint and then post pictures on a thread for constructive ideas, direction.

Obviously this won't work with a tune as any monkey could nab it once it's published on an open forum so perhaps a one make & class tuning competion could be good to kickstart that aspect of the tuning house.

As successful as this could be in launching the tuning house I still can't help but think it has gone way off what my initial vision of the whole outfit being about... Teamwork.

The Dirty Boys' tuning competitions are fantastic in their own right, but by using this to pick an individual winning tune/paint to lauch the FM.net garage IMO is eliminating the entire Teamwork aspect all together.

Granted, at the end of the day it'd probably be a better tune and make more credits but look at it like this. We're all grown men here, (well most of us are wink) and what is honestly more important to you guys, making a huge wad of credits in an online game by yourself or having a laugh and helping out within a group of people to create something we can call a "Pistonheads" tune. Not an "ih8thisname" tune.

Call me old school, but I know what I would prefer.

ETA; Carl, this is in no way a personal dig at you BTW!

Not taken that way at all, you are of course correct. My concern is that unless we pull our finger out FM3 will be here before we open shop.

That's also why it appeals to me! smile

Can't quite understand who the 'men' are though, I thought we were all children! wink
Another comp to select the car and launch ready for FM3 sounds like a plan!!

Sorry chap, your right, this is supposed to be a bit of fun. I must admit after reading all the s**t on the FM site last night about problems, it did make me realise its only a b****y game.

Please don't walk away guys, your comp last time was inspirational to alot of us, to actually challenge ourselves to go out of our comfort zones. I hope you will reconsider and enjoy it as much as we did last time (and I promise to limit my entries)

I think the main feeling is that if someone else want to give it a go then that would be brilliant. Both JH and myself would like to ENTER a Comp. with the PH Massive thumbup
I'd love to but it would like giving your local car thief a Brawn F1 to play with, he may have fun, but wouldn't know how to get the best from it. lol

I'm hoping that no-one would citicise you guys for anything you do, or have done for / with us PH boys.

I'm up for this, need to choose a car rarely used on the games or perhaps a muscle car but tuned for grip just to make it less likely to be a tuning house tune.

Then just see what is done, be good to have a number of tunes for the same car, would everyone post into a thread after the comp on PH so that can do our own comparisons as well and learn from those making tunes that are more stable, faster which ever?

anyone want to race with me sometime, GT : G0ldfysh

Hence tuning American Muscle to drift is a good move, Some of the Bigger beasts have trouble rolling around a corner let alone sliding round it.

... Come to think of it, Has there been a PH Drift Comp? wink

I think that what's going on in the PHINC at the moment is great. Had my first PH competition race the other night. I'm not the kind of guy to sweat whilst playing a computer game, I race for fun... but god DAMN! After the 2nd Lap of the Endurance Race and Finding myself in 1st with my Team Mate on my back made my palms sweat like mad. at least that's my excuse for spinning off >.>

PH Competitions seem to be awesome. So glad I found these forums a few months back thumbup

ETA: I voted for specific car and class. Although I didn't really enjoy the previous tuning competiton much before mainly because I don't understand or have enough interest to understand what I'm doing I am interested to have a specific target to work to though, and it's be nice to know what the awards/prizes will be upfront. i.e. Best & worst A class grip tuned Reliant Robin, best & worst painted reliant robin, most air gained whilst in a reliant robin from a head on collision, best donuts performed etc etc. You know, fun, st boody prize stuff.
