Yeah the games don't look up to much but that control system looks awesome, I just hope its actually that accurate in real life. That destroys the ps3 magic wand thing they announced!

If that makes it into production before Playstation or Nintendo build something to match it then I would imagine it to be extremely popular. I think it looks great, a whole new way to think about a console. No longer a gaming machine but a completly hands free home entertainment system.

"Your tyres are toast, come into the pits"

Do you think they've gone a little OTT with the cheeseyness?

Haha...

I don't think those games looked bad at all. The Racing Scenery was pretty naff... okay, so the racing as a whole wasn't overly pretty, but the Skateboarding/Football/Kung Foo bit was ace!

The Eye Toy was fun, but it lacked the technology. Hopefully this will achieve what the Eye toy was destined for.

Surely this is just a novelty idea to draw more people (kids and girls) into gaming.
I dont think FIFA, COD, Forza and GTA people need to worry about it.

Whilst i wouldn't want to drive using only my hands and feet i think most Forza players would like the Ability to track your head in the cock pit view so you could look in your mirrors and spot people coming up besides you smile

Exactly, that novelty will wear off once you have shown your mates.

Questions?

How do you change gear and accelerate while steering an imaginary wheel..(Do you make engine noises to signify how fast you want to go..NAAAAAA)

When playing 'Fighting games'. I can only kick halfway, will that mean I will lose as i will look like a retard...

I wouldn't bet on that, naturalpoint have made quite a successful business out of head tracking on the PC wink

Mi-ballax, the entire concept is pure fantasy.

For that level of un-interrupted all-seeing capability the computer would have to be bigger than my cock which is impossible.

Yes I know that Mister V from working in the games industry, but it is a niche market. MS will be trying to appeal to the mass market and it will be mainly Wii type and party type games.

At the end of the day it's down to the developers surly? whilst i have to doubt that we will see our fair share of wii type crap for natal, I would HOPE that some of the bigger/better developers would find better, more subtle ways of implementing the tech.

Imagine Playing Okami with this type of system...

Paint Editoring on Forza 3 with your hands able to flex and shape fantastic designs...

Left for Dead 2 using this type of system in combination with a Lightgun. Pistol Whipping that Zombie off your downed teammate.

Metal Gear Solid type game with this, sneaking up behind someone and snapping their neck.

Rollercoaster Tycoon type games where you physically stretch out that monorail to reach accross your foodcourt.

How cool would Wii Fit be if it actually tracked your whole body and not just your feet.

Thats what everyone said about the Wii.

Seems to be doing perfectly well still.

EFA

I can't see how it can differentiate between all the people sat on the sofa and the like to be honest, but maybe it can, I'll wait and see.

As for the mirror thing on Forza, unless you have some kind of railway system your TV sits on (in which case you are my new god) - then as soon as you turn your head to look in the mirror you'll be looking out the window or into the kitchen rather than at the TV and crash, surely?
