Just been toying with a silly idea for one evening.

We all get an hour to buy, build and tune a car to be raced head to head at the end of the hour. The make / model / class & track will not be announced until the start of the hour, then its a mad scramble to build them. Maybe even 3 x 10 lap races at different tracks.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention................you are not building the car for yourself, at the end of the hour the cars will be gifted around randomly, so no buying of the AH, or using those secret 'free tunes' as the car is for someone else.....and dodgy tunes will be frowned upon!

That's a great idea, like a shortened scrapheap challenge. Can I have an expert to help me? tongue out

Would work better if both the winning tuner and winning driver got a share of any winnings - would eliminate people submitting crap tunes or purposely driving badly to crock someone else's tune

Edited to add - sounds fun, haven't played forza in an age, wouldn't mind a shot. Would also suggest making the car/class an uncommon combo so that buying from the AH or using an existing tune isn't possible - i.e no AWE audi in S class etc.

Yeah sounds like a good idea. Definately avoid the 'common' AH specials (scoobs etc etc) also the obvious tunes aswell. Some of these could well end up D or C class smile

As to prizes, I agree totally.......1,000,000 credits each to the winning driver & the winning tuner.

Could also use the cars for the PH Design house we are looking to set up. If its at the right time, count me in.

Is Forza 2 the latest/best racing game on the 360 then?

I've got a 360 but havent played it for months due to unemployment (seriously! I couldn't afford any new games!) Now I'm back in work I'd like to get some use out of it but I'm not sure what titles to be looking at. COD: World at War is one, but what's fresh and new on the driving front?

I also wanna get into the xbox live scene as well smile

Forza 2 is without doubt the best driving sim on any platform. Forza 3 is due out october if you can wait that long.

Don't wait, FM2 is worth grabbing anyway, get practicing, join in a few PH online races and enjoy.

Xbox Live + Forza Motorsport2 is all you will ever need on a 360.

Er, no it isn't. GTR and GTR2 are considerbly better sims.

Racing simulator for the PC.
Not the keyword, simulator it's ridiculous in comparison to Forza 2.
Utterly brilliant game, as is GT Legends! cloud9

It isn't just the gameplay, the graphics or the licenses (tracks and cars) available to it that make forza the best, the online community puts it head and shoulders above any other sim out there.

I would say that TOCA beats it on a few counts - massive grids, better damage simulation etc. But considering the whole package, forza beats anything else by miles.

Right, even when the gameplay in GTR2 is much better in terms of simulation game. It doesn't beat everything else by miles at all. I'd much rather own GTR2 than Forza.

Anyway, I'd be up for this Carl. Have done this before with a different group of lads, we found an hour to be too long... Perhaps 30 mins?
