Driving games! suggestions please!

Just got a copy of a game called toca race driver 3 for the sony ps2,
wanting a similar game not gran turisimo.

Any suggestions ?

In that case check out live for speed and any of the GTR games on the PC. You are going to struggle to find a decent sim on a console because developers think all console owners cant be arsed to spend a day learning how to play a game.

In my opinion, Forza Motorsport 2 on the 360 is a very good sim.

I dont think Forza and sim can be said in the same question. Have you seen the pit stops? I never knew you could change tyres without jacking a car up or repair an engine after you slamed into the wall in 7 seconds. Arcade game with sim bits yes but simulation not a chance same goes for GT as well.

Definitely check out Enthusia, fantastic game, much better physics-wise than GT.

For driving sims, a PC is your best bet IMO.

GTR 2, GTR Evo, GTL and rFactor share the same basic physics engine IIRC, I tend to drive GTR Evo and rFactor mainly. The great thing about rFactor as well as the physics is the number of tracks and cars available for download. See www.rFactorcentral.com for some of them.

Other high quality sims for the PC are Live for Speed (LFS) and IRacing.

Which sims go to the lengths of engine rebuilds following a crash?

Does it break your legs too when you have a head on into the armco?

Ok so they dont go into loads of detail but come on 8 seconds to fix a damaged car?? You cant disagree that the pit stops are beond realistic. This then does not make it a simulator
