how do you unlock the F1 car? I have cleared all events from C to A class. do you need gold in all? what about constructors events?

ps...how much quicker is it than say the F430?

You need to do the S class events too and have 2 million credits to buy it. It is lots, lots faster than the 430, about as fast as an F1 car funily enough!

Download the save file like I did...

You need to win all the events and then save up enough money to buy it. And it is significantly faster than the F430, you could probably start a good half to a third of lap behind one on Suzuka and still beat it round.

where are the S class events? they are not in the events bit... :s so far as i can remember. been a few whole days though! all i have done is A, B and C classes. most gold, but not gold in all events in any category. so i don't need to do all manufacturers events?

where is the save file? any chance you could email it to me if you still have it on your pc? once put on a usb stick how do i copy it to ps3 in the right folder?

S class appears after you complete all the others.

Cheating and downloading later stages means you won't have the practice and skills to drive the new cars. Lots of very smart games geeks put a huge amount of effort into building the learning curve.

You won't enjoy it as much, it would be like buying a book and only reading the first and last chapters.

i don't recall it appearing. do you mean it appears after completing all of them including the manufacturer events? please say i don't need gold in all of them! i can't do that!!

edit: hmmm i don't recall going back into events after completing them! i will look tonight. won't get home until 9pm though

Balls, I tired of driving the same old tracks over and over again. Having to save up 2 million credits is like grinding out experience levels in an MMO, pointless padding to make the game seem longer than it is.

When the full game is released with a massive number of tracks and cars then I won't have a problem playing through a massive amount of races to get the best cars, as there will be variety there.

thanks mate. i have downloaded and unzipped it. it all boils down to a folder called BCUS98158-GAME- which has stuff in it. how to get this into the right folder on the PS3?

First off, you might want to do it on a second gamer profile so you don't lose your existing save.

Then simply unzip the file on the USB drive, the folder structure will then be as the PS3 needs it, then go to the game part of the XMB and scroll up to the save game part, then browse to the folder on the USB drive and tell it to use that one.

thanks. i will def set up another user and unzip in and use the upper most folder of the file first, if that fails, go down a level and so on until i get the right one. like you say though, once unzipped it should be ok

I saved up and bought it. Its quick, and pretty jerky on a pad due to its amazing manoeverability. Its much harder to complete all the challenges on gold, if you do that without cheating, then you will get respect.

I don't understand the point in cheating, the point of the game is learning and improving, not cheating your way to the finish and then complaining about how short the game is and how there is nothing to do apart from drive round in circles in different cars for no reason.

I am at 1m and trying to work towards the magical 2m so i can get the F1 car - i have been tempted to cheat but as people have said you will lose the experience and game time which will help you learn how to tune your cars better and be a better racer.

Anyone know if i can get a mk1 mx5 in prologue !?

I worked for it and the sense of achievment is second to none, I have unlocked all but three cars; the Daytona, the GT Citroen thing and that weird corvette thing. Don't cheat, it defeats the purpose of the game.
