Mafia Wars - iPhone

Following on from this thread about Mafia Wars on Facebook, I thought I'd check it out from the App Store and it's free.

Had a bit of a play on the train this morning to pass the time... anyone else play it on the iPhone? - My "crew" is looking a little thin...

There's a free app to get 20 points to spend with the Godfather, so might as well download that.

Spend money on property if you're a mogul and build up an income. Make sure you have energy to do jobs as well.

Takes some getting into, and the worst thing is waiting for energy / stamina to replenish...

How long do you have to wait for energy? I am all out and spent my 20 points with the god father.

Should say under the energy bar. Takes an hour for full recharge I think... unless you gain enough experience to get to the next level.

It's a slow burner (no way am I paying!)

I agree I am not paying either... I am actually enjoying the game, not sure I am playing it as well as others but it is good fun!

Quick question.. I keep on losing fights that I (think I) should win.. Do I have to buy guns for each crew member, or can I rely on you bringing your own pieces?

You want a weapon per person basically.

Pick on someone larger than you and you have a chance of winning £120k... pick on someone smaller and you'll win less, but risk losing more.

And also you will see from time to time in your "News" section, someone will have fought you while you were offline.

ALWAYS click on "Retaliate" because you always beat the msecond time around. If they've got a few quid, thats $120K easily earned.
