For my son who is 11, upon getting a 4 in Maths and 5's in everything else in his sats, I bought him World of Warcraft.

My character is already better than his!!!!!!!! Undead Arcane Mage.

Competative dad, pitty we can't PvP, but then I would need another pc and pay another subscription to do it.

Ha I'm 40 this year and I still like to act like a kid some times.

I've told him that he will have to contribute to the subscription, but its falling on deaf ears.

I don't feel I'm too old to play, any other oldies with WOW accounts?

World of Warcraft scares me, mainly because a friend of mine used to work in an internet cafe/ gaming place that ran overnight on friday and saturday. People would go in on friday and leave on sunday after solidly playing WoW.

Be careful he doesn't get addicted, one of my friends started playing it constantly and I don't really speak to him anymore.

He pretty much screwed up his exams and now works in a shop for £6 an hour.

I play it and anarchy online, I swore for many years I would never play one even when I used to work for a games developer.

I actually don't find wow addictive, it's good to dip in for an hour or two though.

Oh and you're not too old, I play most nights (not WoW) and am the same age. My best mates both play frequently too - both are 50+ !

like a lot of people will warn you, make sure to strictly monitor how much time he actually plays WoW...

there are some people i knew that lost all focus on their friends/school work because of games like this, it is a dangerous path - i imagine he'd be much better of with an xbox, much less addicting and more multiplayer if he wants games :P

You're not too old by a long shot. There are a few people I've met with a couple of generations playing together
