Hi all,

I have been playing this game for 1 season and I won the league and both cups. Just lost out in the semis of the CL to Barca.

My team is as follows:

Van de Saar
Marcelo Vidic Ferdinand Pique
Hargreaves
Anderson Carrick
Ronaldo Rooney
Hunteelar

Bench:

Tevez
Nani
Van de Vaart
Modric
Fletcher
Giggs

I play the ball short with a slow tempo. With a £37 mil. transfer budget, who should I buy next? I just bought some bloke called bangnar and he seems good but I want more quality. Loosing 6 - 2 to Barca has annoyed me! I have looked all over the net so no links please, just your suggestions.

Have a look for one of the player scout programs. You can search on specific values and it will pull every player in the game, not just in the player search.

It runs live but oustide of the game.

I'd suggest playing with a quicker tempo in Europe. I've played Barcelona with Spurs a few times and found that a more "English" style unsettles them and enabled me to beat them.
As for spending your money , I'd look @ signing Eto from Barca and Frederico Fazio who can play CB or CM. Corluka from Spurs is also a good purchase as well.

Are you playing with any width apart from the full backs ?

No I am playing quite narrow. Rooney and Ronaldo run up the wing and then into the box. I will try upping the tempo a bit.

Oops, I just clicked the, "I have never heard of him" option the other day. I thought my strike force was quite good. Hunteelar got 20 goals for me in his first season, rooney 27 and ronaldo 23. Do I need another striker? I also have Tevez. I thought a defensive mid as cover or to replace Hargreaves or maybe a new wing back? Any tactical advice aswell? What do people say to Bojan?

I think playing narrow could be your problem , I either play with wide men in the AM L/R position or in the normal position.

There are lots of forums where people rate the players , might be worth having a look.

Also have as many scouts as your board will allow and get them to search all the time. I've found a few gems that I've managed to sell on for a big profit.

Also use the assistant advise , he'll tell you what in his opinion is your best 11 for your current formation plus he'll rate the players with stars and he'll also tell you where he thinks your team is weak.

My assistant is st! He still thinks I should be playing giggs and Scholes... I thought that these players are too old really.

Just had another look on my game.

His best season for me was 55 goals in all comptetitions.

I do play quite an attacking formation

My assistant is st! He still thinks I should be playing giggs and Scholes... I thought that these players are too old really.

Bin him , when I start a game I always overhaul the staff especially at Spurs !
