Hardcore Wii games not taking off?

Well in an interview Nintendo spoke person was asked why was this the case.

Interesting; although my point would be that it was more to do with the graphics and if I were to buy call of duty et al. I would do it on a console that made the environment aesthetically pleasing i.e. PS3 or 360?

Call of Duty etc. is not too bad on the Wii, don't get me wrong, it's not as good as the PS3 BUT it's certainly not bad, and frankly the superior (IMHO) aiming system makes up for it a bit as well.....

People who play hardcore games don't buy the Wii, simple as that I'd say.

The Wii has opened up a new segment of the games market, but IMHO it has closed itself off from another.
